Good article trying to enter further into imaginative relevant space. Everyone should try - write out what you think.

Some thoughts.

  • 1.5 is too much. Already hard to live with 1.2 or 1.3

  • COP26 was not even a dustup. It faded. The best is that many people who were sort of hopeful and passive are now shocked and more mobilized.

  • Net-zero is PR to scramble brains moved by PR people. He is aware of this.

  • “First, we have to nationalize the fossil fuel industry and the energy companies, bringing them under public control, just like any other essential service or utility. This will allow us to wind down fossil fuel production and use in line with science-based schedules, without having to constantly fight fossil capital and their propaganda. It also allows us to protect against price chaos, and ration energy to where it’s needed most, to keep essential services going.” But how? what is the line of people than end at the switch?

  • There are too many “We need”s without saying who will do what and when. will they do it.
