2508. We skim for policy and avoid for action.
So much climate analysis and discussions skims over the top with sails filled with thoughts but no idea about the sea of reality we are sailing on is based on. We are trained in ways that thinking, and policy, is familiar but thinking anthropologically about what people actually do is strange. We have a mentation bias - get the thoughts and hence the policy correct and the problem is solved. What I hope for is narratives about how a few people actually try to cut fossil fuel use, (or cut industrial fishing with mile wide nets)and the consequences: If Bob uses less energy, where does that saved energy go? Details are needed.
