Here are two serious sites abut Russia, the Ukraine and the rest of us..
The United States and its allies’ robust support for Ukraine before and during Russia’s war has created a template that should be applied to help protect other Western partners from their more powerful neighbors, argues @micheleflournoy.

So the US takes a robust stand. The unspoken is that this is a path for building strength against first Russia and secondarily China and in the background India (public opinion in these two seems more supportive of Putin). Who is the "more powerful neighbor" in the world? Spite the growing awareness that Vietnam, Nicaragua, Iran, Iraq and much else put the light on bad US actions, we still remain somewhat simple minded about Ukraine.
Create a US-centered clique, become the divisive force in a region and wait to see conflicts blast. Sounds like a chapter in The Art of War. The US military-industrial complex has won big from Europe and now is it trying to copy and paste its "success" in Asia? From Twitter, China Daily. s
Which describes a more militarist and actually belligerent view? China or the US?
As citizens we need to take these issues seriously and realize how much we are manipulated by our own press which of course is "owned".
Take this from CSIS
Russia’s invasion of Ukraine constitutes the biggest threat to peace and security in Europe since the end of the Cold War.

The alternative is that the US mobilizing NATOand EU to weaken Russia is the greater threat from the point of view of the world and its future. Do we need a world still dominated by the US, or a balance of states where diplomacy could have replaced military threat. It may be too late. The military industrial complex… look at the stocks..
There is no good guy bad guy split. It is all difficult and the answer is understanding and diplomacy, not threat, The current path is a path of exponential increase in tough guy actions with no path for deescalation off the escalator of exponential tech applied to weapons.
Gardenworld, increasing global temperatures, profit centralized, where the profit is from arms, and agriculture, are all part of one big unravelling fabric. Humanity finds itself in the middle of the most important chess game and all the pieces are painted different colors. In the weeds is the likely danger of being almost all of us being marginalized as tech platforms and Ai take all the jobs and increase the likelihood of flash wars.
I realize this is difficult territory but then so is all of it. We need to see it whole.
This is indeed tough issue, but must be confronted.
