Following on the OECD report the Workd Bank publishesa letter with
‘\”Dear Colleagues. We have just released the June 2023 edition of the Global Economic Prospects report. In a nutshell, the global economy remains in a precarious state. Global growth is projected to slow significant] in the second half of this year, with weakness continuing in 2024”
No mention in the entire report of clinate change. And of course no realization thatlower growth might be good -necessary - for the environment.
And the world bank
Good change will not come from the direction of the world back but by a polycentric, still disconnected movement toward economic justice
This is one of the reasons Amitav Ghosh subtitled The Great Derangement "Climate change and the unthinkable." And why that is such an important book. (I have just finished my third reading.)
