Interesting that we have eco-nomics and eco-logy, but no word for both. Logos means nature-made law, and Nomos means man-made law. Eco means household, so the house now is the total environment, including society and soil. Maybe “ecosystem” will work. For the Greeks eco meant household, but the only households were cattle ranches of large scale. Aristotle in Politics makes clear that the eco refeed to the rich landowner, cattle, slaves, wife and children, relatives, employees, craft production and all the supporting tools. The description of the household in Homer’s Odyssey is a good example We could reform economics by returning it to the logic of the household where the home is now the whole earth and the task is to understand the relations of the human part to the earth part.
