There is a lot of talk about whether technology is helping or hurting the emergence of a better society. Technical people are willing to look for solutions that do not fit humans. An example is the garbage truck. They used to have a crew of three, one driving and two hauling cans, frequently switching roles. They talked a lot and even a time sang. The technology of the foreclosure reduces the crew to one sitting in a cab by himself for an eight-hour day, surrounded by the noise of lifting the cans, emptying them, and returning them to the Earth, the whole machine, driven by internal combustion engine. There is no human accountability for this designdecision,
