This from facebook this morning hints at an uncomfortably new, different, powerful and amazingly wonderful new culture. Posted by a rigorously tough thinker showing that such thinking and depth of compassion can co exist.

“A couple in a Tesla struck and mortally injured this deer late today on Hwy 1. I stopped it from stumbling into traffic, and sat with it and did my best to comfort it until it passed away, because no creature should ever die alone, much less die alone on the side of a highway amidst the noise of passing traffic. The good people who struck it never bothered to return to check on it. They too busy worrying about the damage to their Tesla to bother about the life they took .”
