Capital is the surplus of a society meeting its needs. So far OK. But then capitalism becomes the regulatory regime about who owns that capital that leads to monopoly and onto the fascist state. Not OK. If we see that capitalism leads inevitable to monopoly and then fascism, shouldn’t economics take responsibility for the whole dynamic and its deeply destructive ends? The logical result of capitalism (narrowed ownership) is Authoritarian rule. Shouldn’t therefor advocates of capitalism be held accountable for advocating a a-system. that will destroy society?
But, to be fair, what if this is the outcome of any economic regime? Are all possible human societies going to end with a passive population that allows a narrow group to gain control and end in epic wars and environmental destruction?
