I think it has been a mistake to call it climate collapse. It is, in fact the human specie that is in trouble. There may have been some cultures, some societies that were not inclined to use coal as it was discovered, but they have been overcome by the power of those societies that were prepared to use it and oil, entering into an exponential expansion of activity, energy, and power and population replacing the vast variety of species with cement. Not only is climate part of our malpractice, but the oceans are overfished and acidic, and governments, built around profit for its elites are unable to cope with the range of issues that face us *, and many other issues - indeed all issues are affected. Those societies that took the advantage are now taking us all down with them. No one will escape.
