Writing poetry (don't worry about being good) is an amazing companion. If you can drop judgment and ask what comes next, something will always come out of the froth and fog of one's mindful brain. Something new is released, which comes from the depth of self and universe. Please, please try it.

I continue to give poetry a go; poetry of others that is. Years ago, I sought out the poetry of Nicanor Parra, whose work was honored as the thesis of one of my favorite undergrad instructors at Ohio State. Currently, again reading "Los detectives salvajes" by R. Bolano, which follows the adventures of a select number of poets leading the infra-realista movement. Not lots of poetry in the novel while supplying the reader with lists of poets worth reading. Thanks for the essays. BB in VA
