Sand castle awareness

I think people are more awake than they are giving credit for. Many are like adults building a sandcastle. They know that the next time it will tear down, and no amount of hand, pushing and sand shaping can save it. The reason they act as unaware when they are not is that there is no point of contact, in most of the world, between today's project, which is already underway, and the coming climate changes.

I am impressed with how quite ordinary people living on the periphery seem to be aware of the current thinking about the bad extent of climate change and yet unaware of the underlying facts. It is as if our minds seek conclusions, not causes.
