Social enterprise invests money in activity, and all economic activity creates co2 and takes land which means roads and new infrastructure. These seem to be facts that cannot be avoided.

Social enterprises for the foreseeable future add on to, not replace existing economy.

Money voluntarily invested, seeks a dividend. If we allow things to begin to fall apart, new opportunities will emerge at a lower level of economic activity. 

Increases along any of the existing exponential curves contribute to fossil fuel use somewhere in the system.
