What to do with the remaining time?

If we are convinced that nothing can stop rising temperatures and catastrophic warming,  what should we do?  It is clear that if the temperature rises all systems will be affected. Each of us has some connection with some of those systems. Let’s take defeating Donald Trump. That activity should continue because if he wins the world we live in, even for a while, will be much worse. Just as a pianist needs all the fingers, so society to function needs the continuation of most existing efforts.

That suggests that we need to do what we are already doing, but do it better, make it more attractive, use less energy if possible, but keep the ship afloat as long as we can. If you feel pressure from the community to stop what you are doing, best to pay attention. This applies to oil company execs.  Pay attention to those hurt by your curtailments.  Go along with efforts by the emerging “system”  to manage your activities. This is a realm where society is being creative. There will be many mistakes. Try to help.
