Marcus Aurelius in Meditations
“Everything was to be approached logically and with due consideration, in a calm and orderly fashion but decisively, and with no loose ends.”
Why do we put out so much prose with so little logic? Isn’t it fairly simple?
Temperature is rising
Industry is rising
Population js rising
To cut co2 we must cut some human activity
Many will lose jobs and homes
We need a much expanded welfare system that people can trust
we need vigorous management
With clear sighted problem solving
Siloed aproaches make non considered problems worse.
We need a serious systems approach
Here is another list of logical steps that is quite different i found tghis morning.
Eight things the world must do to avoid the worst of #ClimateChange
1. Stop methane emissions
2. Stop deforestation
3. Restore degraded land
4. Change what we eat
5. Go #RenewableEnergy
6. Use energy more efficiently
7. Stop burning #FossilFuels
8. #ActNow
What I see missing or off track in the second list. Vey little about needed social [rocess. Management, politics, method. There are serious problems. Unaware of the impossibility of renewable energy. Efficient use frees up energy for use elsewhere. No plan to stop burning nor dealing with cosequences. Act now? What acts?
I am not saying my list is better, but that we should explore the differences.
