At the very large conference, Climate Week NTC most of the sessions are majority women, including as moderators. This conference is more business than government or academic so the observation is not biased by the softer conditions of the academy. Women are now the majority in medical school, law school, and management schools.
Many of the women have stronger more critical positions than mot of the men. Women speaking strongly are respected but, in a reversal, the men being strident are shunned. I think part of it is that the women are perceived as coming n from the outside whereas the men are perceived as having been insiders and part of the problem.
