That first picture of the huge planed fields, os this considered good or bad? To my eye it misses the opportunity to have small villages at a few the intersections. With a few trees and nice small buildings, this could be a good place to live.

For me, not so attractive. Feels like the endless cornfields of the midwest. having villages may depend on a different kind of ag integrated with the solar. (I'm also partial to solar integrated with most every square meter of surface area in cities…except for the surfaces that get vegetated.)

Gill do you know of any report/article that estimates/models our ability to manufacture enough solar panels (taking into the analysis the environmental/energy costs of such mining manufacturing and transportation)

The kind of village I imagine is more attached to gardens than to mechanized mega agriculture.
